Sometimes you may need to know whether a certain module was successfully loaded into the kernel. Just enter the /sbin/lsmod command, which will show which modules are currently loaded. I recently needed to use this command to troubleshoot a problem with my network card in a Caldera distribution. It turned out that the module had not been loaded into the kernel at startup.
